Brief description

ISO 50001 specifies the general requirements for establishing an Energy Management System in an organization and focuses on identifying opportunities for improved energy performance. ISO 50001 establishes specific aims and objectives for energy saving, which are achieved through programs for energy management and systematic monitoring of energy variables.
The new edition, ISO 50001:2018, was published on 20 August 2018 and sets the transitional period at 3 years.
